Our Legacy and Accreditation
Lomagundi College Trust Schools officially opened its doors on 14 February 1983. Situated on 120 hectares of land in the scenic Hunyani Hills near Chinhoyi, the school was founded to meet the growing demand for quality private education in Zimbabwe. From its humble beginnings—with partially constructed buildings and a shared pioneering spirit—pupils and staff worked together to create a vibrant, thriving learning community that continues to flourish today.
We are proud members of the Association of Trust Schools (ATS), a prestigious network of independent schools in Zimbabwe. ATS membership affirms our commitment to excellence in governance, teaching, and school leadership. Our participation in the Conference of Heads of Independent Schools in Zimbabwe (CHISZ) further demonstrates our dedication to high educational standards and the collaborative advancement of private education nationwide.

At the senior level, Lomagundi College is a registered Cambridge International Centre, offering IGCSE and A-Level qualifications recognised worldwide. It is also accredited to offer ZIMSEC examinations, maintaining a strong link to the national curriculum. Vocational training is available through City & Guilds and HEXCO, equipping pupils with practical, career-ready skills.
